GROUND ZERO ANALYSIS, INC. <br /> 1714 Main Street <br /> Escalotn,California 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 <br /> August 8, 2002 <br /> Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Second Quarter 2002 Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling Report <br /> Former M&K Market, 8960 West Walnut Grove Rd, Thornton California <br /> Dear Mr Knoll <br /> .� This letter report presents the results of the second quarter 2002 groundwater monitoring and <br /> sampling activities at the subject site (Figure 1) <br /> SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Activities at the site included monitoring water level elevations, and purging and sampling <br /> groundwater from site wells Groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), <br /> oxygenated gasoline additives, 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and ethylene dibromide (EDB) <br /> FIELDWORK <br /> Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling <br /> Monitoring wells MW1 through MW4 were monitored and sampled on June 19, 2002 <br /> Groundwater elevations were calculated by measuring the depth to groundwater in each well and <br /> subtracting the measured value from the respective wellhead elevation The depth to water in the <br /> wells ranged from 7 06 feet below ground surface (bgs) in well MW4 to 8 39 feet bgs in well <br /> MW3 and generally flowed toward the southwest The groundwater surface fell an average of 0 69 <br /> feet between March 14, 2002 and June 19, 2002 A potentiometric surface map is presented on <br /> Figure 2 Since installation of the wells in May 2001, the direction of groundwater flow has varied <br /> from a southwesterly direction to a northwestery direction Groundwater monitoring data are <br /> summarized in Table 1 Monitoring data sheets are included in Attachment A <br /> GIData1GROUNDZE1Bamyard-ManserlReportslQMR12QM2002 doe <br />
