This letter report presents the results of the third quarter 2001 groundwater monitoring and sampling <br /> activities at the subject site (Figure 1) <br /> SITE ACTIVITIES <br /> Activities at the site included monitoring water level elevations and purging and sampling groundwater <br /> from site wells Groundwater samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPHg), total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes <br /> (BTEX), oxygenated gasoline additives, 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), and ethylene dibromide <br /> (EDB) <br /> FIELDWORK <br /> Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling <br /> On September 7, 2001, monitoring wells MW1 through MW4 were monitored and sampled <br /> Groundwater elevations were calculated by measuring the depth to groundwater in each well and <br /> subtracting from the respective wellhead elevation Groundwater at the site rose an average of 0 41 <br /> feet since last monitored in May 2001 Groundwater flowed to the southwest at a hydraulic gradient of <br /> approximately 0 0035 ft/ft, although the gradient appeared to flatten somewhat in the southern half of <br /> the site A potentiometric surface map generated using the September 7, 2001 monitoring data is <br /> depicted on Figure 2 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1 Monitoring data <br /> sheets are included in Attachment A <br /> Uamyard/reports/gmr/3 QM2001 <br />
