Page 6 of 7 r "Wells U-W' These wells were identified through DWR records and appear to be located more than 2,600 feet east of the subject site and, therefore, are not shown on Figure 5 ISurface Water Bodies According to the USGS topographic quadrangle map for the area (Thornton, Calif) no surface water bodies were identified within 2,000 feet of the site The Mokelumne River and Grizzly Slough are ' located approximately 4,400 feet and approximately 1 'A miles east of the site, respectively, at their closest points(Figure 1) ' Schools New Hope School, 26675 N Sacramento Road, is located approximately 1,370 feet northeast of the i ' site Churches ' Community Baptist Church, 8839 West Walnut Grove Road, is located approximately 360 feet east of the site Matr Ecclesiae Church, 26500 N Sacramento Road, is located approximately 1,200 feet east- northeast of the site Lady of Fatima Society Hall, 26590 N Sacramento Road, is located ' approximately 1,280 feet northeast of the site Our Lady of Sorrows, 8544 Oak Street, is located approximately 1,400 feet east of the site Thornton Bible Church, 26521 Louisa Street, is located approximately 2,000 feet east of the site ' 5.0 CONFIRMATION SOIL STOCKPILE SAMPLING ' On May 4, 2001, a Ground Zero technician collected confirmation soil samples from stockpiled soil generated during interim remediation activities in March 2000 Sixteen 2 1 composite soil samples were collected from soil stockpiled on site Fifteen samples were collected from the "contaminated" ' pile and were limited to those portions of the pile that previous had elevated levels of gasoline and/or diesel constituents In addition, one composite sample was collected from a second soil pile that was the remainder of either the "clean" or the "potentially contaminated" pile identified in earlier reports Sample locations are shown on Figure 6 Analytical results indicated that virtually all residual contarmnation has been aerated from the stockpiled ' soil No gasoline constituents (TPHg, BTEX) were detected in any confirmation sample TPHd was detected only in two samples, ranging from 6 7 to 12 ppm Analytical results of soil stockpile confirmation samples are summarized in Table 5 Copies of analytical results are included in ' Attachment E 6.0 SUMMARY ' • Only minor levels of TPHg and MTBE were detected in soil samples collected from boring MW3 No oxygenated gasoline additives except MTBE were detected in the soil at the site flows in a southwester) direction First groundwater ranged from GroundwaterY approximately 8 to 11 feet bgs, and stabilized at depths ranging from approximately 7 7 to 9 0 ' 11GZA_FSISYSOlMata\GROUNDZE1Barnyard-Manser\Reports\WELLRPT doc
