Accordingly, I am enclosing a draft revised
MRP for your review and comment.
My comments on the reports follow.
Remedial Investigation/Fourth Quarter Monitoring Report(0h QMR)
The 4th QMR presents the results of four monitoring well installations and a summary of the Phase I
grab groundwater investigation that was originally presented in the September 1997 Phase I Site
Investigation Report. Although the information was presented in text, figures and tables, the figures and
tables alone were not sufficient to convey the necessary information, and there were inconsistencies in
the report.
The utility of future investigative reports will improve if all the sample results are illustrated on figures
identifying the sample location, date, and depth. Sample results presented in tables must also have
sample dates associated with them, and reported results from pesticide scans must indicate which of the
constituents the reported result applies to. Items referenced in the text, such as underground storage
tanks, should be illustrated on the figures.
The text states that monitoring well 6 (MW-6) was installed adjacent to boring SB-9, yet Figure 2
illustrates MW-6 adjacent to SB-8, and SB-9 is not shown on the figure. Figure 2 also shows MW-6 in a
California Environmental Protection Agency
Co Recycled Paper
