Apparently it was struck
by a farm implement and the upper casing has been knocked off. This well must be repaired, or properly
abandoned,to the satisfaction of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Department prior to the
onset of the rainy season. If the well must be abandoned, provision shall be made to drill a replacement
well. All wells in this field must have monuments or flags on them extending to a height of at least six
feet to assist the tractor driver in identifying their location.
Please keep me informed as to the progress of repairs, and by 30 November 1999, send me a letter
describing the actions that have been taken. If you have any questions, you may call me at(916)
255-3080.
r
AMY TERRELL
Site Cleanup Unit
cc: Mr. Michael Miller,IT Corporation, Rancho Cordova
Ms. Martha Bowman,Bankruptcy Trustee,Penryn
Mr. Michael Infurna, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Stockton
California Environmental Protection Agency
Qd Recycled Paper
