' 2.4 Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
' Groundwater monitoring and sampling will be completed at the site on a quarterly basis for one
year. Since the wells will have been sampled during the investigation task, the quarterly
monitoring will consist of three (3) additional sampling events. All wells will be purged and
tsampled as described above. The analytical program for quarterly groundwater monitoring is
presented below and in Table 5.
During quarterly monitoring and sampling, all nine wells will be sampled. All groundwater
samples will be collected and analyzed for pesticides, nitrate, and ammonia. Four wells (MW-1,
-2, -3, and -6) will be sampled for herbicides to monitor plume dimensions and concentrations
' known to exist only in MW-3. Six wells (MW-1, -2, 4, -5, -7, and -8) will be sampled for
petroleum hydrocarbons to monitor plume dimensions and concentrations known to exist only in
' MW-1.
The proposed analytical program will include the following methods and quantities per quarter:
Methods Number of analyses per quarter
' EPA 602 M - expanded BTEX 6
• EPA 8015 M- TPH-Gas 6
' EPA 8015 M-TPH-Diesel 6
• EPA 608 - organochlorine pesticides 9
' & EPA 619 - triazine pesticides 9
• EPA 615 - herbicides 4
' EPA 300.0 -nitrate as Nitrogen 9
• EPA 350.2 - ammonia as Nitrogen 9
' 12
