Box 180 <br /> West Sacramento, CA 95691 <br /> Subject- Preliminary Site Investigation Report <br /> Cal-Farm Supply, Stockton Facility <br /> Stockton, California <br /> K/J/C 882526 00 <br /> Dear Mr. Whitworth: <br /> This letter transmits Kennedy/Jenks/Chllton's findings from the Preliminary <br /> Site Investigation that was conducted in April and May of 1989 on the former <br /> Cal-Farm Supply facility located in Stockton, California The investigation <br /> was performed in accordance with our work plan dated 11 April 1988, except for <br /> additional sampling requested by you and the Department of Health Services. <br /> This additional sampling was addressed in our Contract Amendment No i dated 2 <br /> 10 May 1989. Any changes or alterations that were made to the work plan are <br /> addressed in this report. <br /> The work plan was approved by the San Joaquin Local Health District, the <br /> Department of Health Services (DHS) , and the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (Regional Board) The involvement of the DHS and the <br /> Regional Board were requested by the San Joaquin Local Health District. <br /> Changes to the original work plan as a result of DHS and Regional Board <br /> comments are described in this report <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Cal -Farm Supply warehouse and sales facil ;ty located in Stockton (see <br /> " Figure 1) reportedly was used for the storage, sale, and distribution of <br /> pesticides, fertilizers, and agricultural equipment (barbed wire, fencing <br /> material , etc.) . This operation is reported to have been conducted within the <br /> fenced area of the property (see Figure 2) However, during one of the site <br /> visits, a former employee of Cal -Farm Supply indicated that the property owned <br /> by Cal-Farm Supply includes the area inside as well as an additional area <br /> outside of the fenced portion (see Figure 2) of the property. <br />
