Wilson Way APN: 117-310-01
Stockton, CA 95205 Geotracker ID#: T0607700132
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed Quarterly
Remediation System Summary Reports Zd & 3rd Quarter 2009 submitted to Geotracker. Each
report included a discussion and recommendation that requested the EHD approval for Thrifty
Oil Company (Best) to submit a revised Feasibility Study,
The EHD approved the groundwater extraction (GWE) batch tests previously and conclusions in
both reports stated that this method is cost-prohibitive and will not be conducted. The EHD
required Best to evaluate groundwater remedial alternatives. Best chose GWE and based on
data collected, concluded that it is not cost-effective. Additional groundwater remedial
alternatives must be evaluated and the EHD requires a revised Feasibility Study to be submitted
to the EHD by December 14, 2009.
On March 26, 2009, the EHD approved a no purge monitoring well sampling test for two
monitoring wells at this site. The data was to be submitted comparing the no-purge sampling
data to a three case volume purge sampling event. The EHD was to be advised if Best would
continue to use the no-purge method. This data and comparison/conclusion has not been
received. Please submit the data and conclusions for the comparative sampling events by
December 14, 2009.
If you have any questions lease contact Michael lnfurna at (209) 468.3454.
Michael J. lnfurna Jr., R HS Margaret agorio, REHS
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Program Coordinator
c: Mr, James L.
