• Starting in the third quarter of 1997, as required by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (CVRWQCB), samples were analyzed for Oxygenates by EPA Method 8260 The <br /> seven oxygenates which were sampled for are Di-isopropyl ether, Ethanol, Ethyl tert-Butyl Ether, <br /> Methanol, Methyl tert-Butyl Ether, Tert-Amyl Methyl Ether, Tert-Butanol All results for the <br /> Oxygenates are located in Appendix A A summary of analytical sampling results, except <br /> Oxygenates, are provided in Table 1, and copies of the analytical Iaboratory reports are contained <br /> in Appendix A <br /> Schedule <br /> As per your request, following is a schedule to implement the approved corrective action plan at this <br /> site <br /> Thrifty is in the process of preparing a permit application for submittal to the San <br /> Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District(APCD) to operate a remediation system <br /> at this site This permit application will be submitted to the APCD by August 14, 1998 <br /> Thrifty anticipates APCD approval of the permit application within four to six months <br /> of submittal Delays are expected since the site is within 1000 feet of a school and a <br /> public notification process will be required <br />. Remediation system piping, system compound pad,and fence have been installed However, <br /> the APCD has informed Thrifty that remedial equipment cannot be placed ori-site prior to <br /> receiving the APCD Authority to Construct (ATC)/Permit to Operate (PTO) Permit <br /> Once on APCD permit has been approved, Thrifty anticipates equipment procurement and <br /> system installation will be completed within three weeks System start-up should commence <br /> within one week following system installation <br /> All interpretations expressed in this report are based upon review of data collected by EMC <br /> Should you have any question or require additional information, please contact the undersigned at <br /> (562) 921-3581 <br /> Respectfully, <br /> Q6.
