Alaniz, John Received by the SJCEHD (JA) on 8/8/19
From: Steve Showers <sshowers@brooksidegolf.net>
Sent: Thursday, August 8, 2019 11:33 AM
To: Alaniz, John
Subject: RE: Brookside Country Club return to compliance
John,
The rusted 55 gallon steel drum was left open in order to dry the contents, then we removed the absorbent material and
it was evident that only the top of the absorbent was stained with rust. The lower in the drum we got the absorbent
was in near new condition. The drum itself showed signs of rusting on the top of the inside of the container. It was
determined that the rust was not a hazardous waste and we disposed of the dry absorbent in the trash.
Steve Showers
Brookside Country Club
Golf Course Superintendent
559.706.3862
sshowers@brooksidegolf.net
From: Alaniz, John [mailto:jalanizl@sjgov.org]
Sent: Monday, August 05, 2019 4:21 PM
To: 'Steve Showers'
Subject: RE: Brookside Country Club return to compliance
Hi Steve,
I apologize but there was a glitch in my system and I did not see the full RTC.
