SOIL GAS SURVEY <br /> -- COCA-COLA ENTERPRISES <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> JOB NO. 90054 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> U.S. Technical Environmental Consulting, Inc. (USTEC) has completed a soil gas survey at <br /> the Coca-Cola distribution facility, Stockton, California (Figure 1). This investigation was <br /> initiated by Mr. Steve McConnell, Division Manager, Occupational/Environmental Safety, <br /> Coca-Cola Enterprises - West (CCE-W), to assess the distribution of gasoline and diesel fuels <br /> found during tank removal operations. <br /> The field work was performed by USTEC in May, 1990. This report documents the field <br /> procedures, observations, analytical methods, and conclusions of work completed to date. <br /> 1.1 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> tt; At the time of USTEC's investigation, the site was an abandoned warehouse and distribution <br /> facility located at 1100 North Wilson Way, Township 1 North, Range 6 East, Section.31, San <br /> Joaquin County, Stockton, California. The property was bounded by Wilson Way to the <br /> west, Roosevelt Street on the south and School Street on the east. A motel and vacant.lot <br /> were located north of the facility (Figure 2), <br /> Buildings at the facility were present on both sides of an east-west concrete drive with access <br /> to Wilson Way and School Street. A brick two-story office building was located in the <br /> southwest property corner. An incineration unit and a CO2 production unit was located in <br /> the southeast corner of the property. A covered metal service bay was located along the <br /> southern property boundary. Covered service bays also lined the north property boundary <br /> with the exception of a vacant fenced parting lot behind the servi_e bays in the northeast <br /> corner of the property. <br />
