BORING LOG NOTES <br /> The number shown in "BORING NO." refers to the approximate location <br /> of the same number indicated on the site plan as positioned in the <br /> field by survey or by measurements from property linea and/or <br /> existing features. <br /> "SURFACE ELEV." rei:ers to the measuring point elevation at the <br /> groundwater monitoring well location relative to the indicated <br /> "DATUM" established by measurements with an engineer's level from <br /> a bench mark. <br /> "PID" refers to organic vapor concentrations collected at the site <br /> with a photoianization detector. <br /> "BLOW COUNT" refers to the number of blows from a 140-pound weight, <br /> dropped 30-inches, to advance a split-barrel sampler a distance of <br /> 1-foot (Standard Penetration Test _ ASTM D1586) . <br /> "SAMPLE TYPE" refers to the form of sample recovery. <br /> l = Modified California Split Barrel Sampler <br /> = Grab sample <br />
