Specific decontamination proce <br /> samples to minimize the pow <br /> dures <br /> for all sampling equipment are presented below: <br /> ' o A tap water pre-wash to remove soils stuck to the equipment. <br /> -. <br /> t o A scrub with along-handled brush in an Alconax'D detergent solution. <br /> o A tap water rinse. <br /> a A final rinse with distilled water. <br /> All effluent generated during the decontamination process was contained in DO approved 55- <br /> gallon steel dnuns. The drums were temporarily stored on-site and disposed at Gibson Oil and <br /> eceipt of the <br /> Refinery Services,Inc.,after rchemical analytical results. Transportation manifests <br /> for water disposal were presented in the second quarter 1991, Quarterly Monitoring Report. <br /> 3.1.8 Boring Abandonment <br /> Following the completion of the drilling and sampling operations, each hosing not completed <br /> as a monitoring well was backfilled to the existing surface with a concrete grout (eleven sack <br /> mix). Borings B-14 through B-17 were converted into vapor extraction test wells,VEW-1 through <br /> VEW-4,respectively. Boring B-24 was converted into groundwater monitoring well MW-6. all <br /> backfill procedures were observed by Mr.Steven Schneider,San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> vapor extraction wells <br /> Services.
