1
Working To Restore Nature
Addendum One to Remedial Action Plan March 1, 1993
Coca-Cola Former Distribution Facility, Stockton, California 54006.01
' As of December 1992,seven quarters of groundwater monitoring have been conducted. The
cumulative results of laboratory analyses of groundwater samples are reported in Table A-3.
In California, TPH9 and TPHd in groundwater are regulated indirectly through the
' petroleum hydrocarbon constituents, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes.
Toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes have been within State and Federal MCLS for all
' quarters in all six wells, and ranged from nondetectable to 3.1 ppb. Benzene has been
wrthnn the MCL (of 1 ppb) in MW-4 and MW-6 for all quarters. In MW-1 benzene
concentrations have ranged from nondetectable to 40 ppb; in MW-2 from nondetectable to
7.9 ppb; in MW-3 from nondetectable to 3.9 ppb; and in MW-5 from nondetectable to 3.0
' ppb as seen in Table A-3. State and Federal regulatory limits are reported at the bottom
of Table A-3. A soil cleanup may be adequate to bring benzene concentrations within the
MCL on a long term basis, since at present benzene concentrations are fluctuating around
the MCL value. Lead concentrations have been within the MCL in all wells, with the
exception of well MW-2 in March 1991, when lead was reported at 68 ppb. The MCL for
lead is 50 ppb.
r
A5
