Working To Restore Nature <br /> 1710 Main Street �C ,a m I V D <br /> Escalon, CA 95320 <br /> Phone (209) 838-3507 NOV 3 Q 1992 <br /> FAX (209) 838-3509 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH November 24, 1992 <br /> PERMIT/SENVICM <br /> Mr Michael Collins <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> RE Proposed Quarterly Monitoring for Coca-Cola Enterprises - West, Former <br /> Distribution Facility, 1100 North Wilson Way, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Collins <br /> RESNA Industries Inc (RESNA), has recently been retained by Coca-Cola Enterprises to <br /> perform remedial activities at the subject site As part of the site remediation, RESNA will <br /> perform quarterly monitoring RESNA proposes the following tasks to be completed on a <br /> quarterly basis <br /> TASK l: <br /> Groundwater elevations will be measured in wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, and <br /> MW-6 The water level data will be used to develop a groundwater gradient map showing the <br /> groundwater flow direction and magnitude of the hydraulic gradient <br /> TASK 2: <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected from wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-6 Prior to <br /> collection of the sample the wells will be purged a minimum of three well casing volumes, and <br /> pH, electrical conductivity, and temperature will be measured and allowed to stabilize The <br /> samples will be sent using chain-at-custody record to a State-certified laboratory and analyzed <br /> for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG), total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel <br /> (TPHD), and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (13TEX) utilizing EPA methods <br /> 50301801518020 It is not proposed that the wells be sampled for total lead based upon the <br /> analytical results for the last foul quarters of monitoring Only one well showed detectable <br />• <br /> QUARTLY\PQM1192 YNI <br />
