' Coca-Cola Enterprises - West <br /> USTEC Job No 90054 03 <br /> 5 0 ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY PROCEDURES AND RESULTS <br />' This section discusses the analytical chemistry procedures and resulting data <br />' <br /> 51 ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY PROCEDURES <br />' All groundwater samples were collected, transported, and analyzed in general accordance with <br /> U S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) document SW-846, "Test Methods for Evaluating <br />' Solid Waste", 3rd Edition All samples were submitted to Sequoia Analytical, Redwood City, <br /> California for analysis Each sample was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in <br /> accordance with EPA method 3510/8015 quantified against a diesel and gasoline standard and <br /> aromatic hydrocarbons,benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,and total xylenes (BTEX) in accordance <br /> with EPA method 8020 In addition, samples were analyzed for total lead in accordance with <br />' EPA method 7421 <br /> 32 ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY RESULTS <br /> The analytical chemistry test results of the groundwater samples are summarized in Table 5 A <br />' summary of historical analytical results is presented in Table 6 The laboratory certificates of <br /> analysis are presented in Appendix E The lead analytical results are reported as milligrams per <br />' liter (mg/1) which is equivalent to parts per million (ppm) All other analytical results are <br /> reported in micrograms per liter (ug/1) which is equivalent to parts per billion (ppb) <br /> I <br /> The analytical chemistry test results indicate that total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) <br />' concentrations quantitated against a diesel standard has decreased in groundwater monitoring <br /> wells MWA (120 ppb to below detection limits), MW-2 (130 ppb to 85 ppb), MW-3 (210 ppb to <br />' below detection limits), MW-4 (100 ppb to 60 ppb), MW-5 (80 ppb to below detection limits) and <br /> MW-6 (140 ppb to below detection limits) <br /> TPH concentrations quantitated against a gasoline standard has increased in groundwater <br />' monitoring wells MWA (below detection limits to 160 ppb) and MW-3 (below detection limits <br /> 10 6 <br /> lIS 1 <br /> 1 <br />
