INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a' request :from Mr. - Edward Barkett of:Atlas Properties, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvirorunental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan <br /> for EASTLAND PLAZA II located at 548 North Wilson Way-in Stockton, California. The scope of <br /> work is advanced four soil probe borings. The objective is to investigate if•anunauthorized release <br /> of petroleum hydrocarbons related to the former use of suspected underground storage tank(s) <br /> (USTs)has occurred at the site. The.location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 -Location ATap. A <br /> plan-of the,site is depicted in Figure 2 <br /> This w=ork plan is -prepared :in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Envirorunental Health Division'(PHS-EHD)and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board guidelines for the investigation of UST sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1. SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located on the west side of North Wilson Way,south of Oak Street and north of Fremont <br /> Street in.a commercial area of low topographic relief in Stockton at an elevation between I Sand 20 <br /> feet above mean sea level. Residential property lies further toward the ,est. The regional slope of <br /> the area is toward the.west: The surface of the site is-cowered with dirt. <br /> 2.3. REGIONAL GROUND WATER ELEVATION. . <br /> • - J. <br /> The estimated•depth to ground water at theproperty is approximately.60'feef below surface grade <br /> (bsg), based on the map titled Lines of Equa1 Deptlt.to Gi-6wIdwater Spring 1996 published by the <br /> San Joaquin County Flood Control District and Water Conservation District(F CD&WCD).The map. <br /> titled Lines of Equal Elevation of Groundii�ater Spring 1996,'.also published-by the FCD&WCD, <br /> shows the property to be near an area of depressed groundyater elevation,where ground water from . <br /> the surrounding area flows toward,tlie low.
