INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK In accordance with a' request :from Mr. - Edward Barkett of:Atlas Properties, Advanced GeoEnvirorunental, Inc. (AGE)has prepared the enclosed Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan for EASTLAND PLAZA II located at 548 North Wilson Way-in Stockton, California. The scope of work is advanced four soil probe borings. The objective is to investigate if•anunauthorized release of petroleum hydrocarbons related to the former use of suspected underground storage tank(s) (USTs)has occurred at the site. The.location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 -Location ATap. A plan-of the,site is depicted in Figure 2 This w=ork plan is -prepared :in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Envirorunental Health Division'(PHS-EHD)and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for the investigation of UST sites 2.0. BACKGROUND 2.1. SITE LOCATION The site is located on the west side of North Wilson Way,south of Oak Street and north of Fremont Street in.a commercial area of low topographic relief in Stockton at an elevation between I Sand 20 feet above mean sea level. Residential property lies further toward the ,est. The regional slope of the area is toward the.west: The surface of the site is-cowered with dirt. 2.3. REGIONAL GROUND WATER ELEVATION. . • - J. The estimated•depth to ground water at theproperty is approximately.60'feef below surface grade (bsg), based on the map titled Lines of Equa1 Deptlt.to Gi-6wIdwater Spring 1996 published by the San Joaquin County Flood Control District and Water Conservation District(F CD&WCD).The map. titled Lines of Equal Elevation of Groundii�ater Spring 1996,'.also published-by the FCD&WCD, shows the property to be near an area of depressed groundyater elevation,where ground water from . the surrounding area flows toward,tlie low. The map is'suggestive of local ground water flow toward . ,the east on the property, but this may be easily modified by changing recharge and discharge patterns.
