Samples were collected by SAIC and analyzed by Lancaster Laboratories,Inc.for TPHc using EPA Method 8015B Modified,TPHg using
N CA LUFT gasoline method, and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes and Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether using EPA Method 8021 B.
2.The analysis for volatiles was performed on a sample that was preserved in methanol. The reporting limits were adjusted appropriately.
The reported concentration of TPHg does not include MTBE or other gasoline constituents eluting prior to the C6(n-hexane)TPHg range start time.
3. The surrogate data is outside the QC limits. Results from the reextraction are within the limits. The hold time had expired prior to the reextraction
so all results are reported from the original extract. Similar results were obtained in both extracts.
4. A poor surrogate recovery was observed due to the dilution needed to perform the analysis.
5. Due to dilution of the sample made necessary by the high level of non-target compounds, normal reporting limits were not attained.
6. Accurate surrogate recoveries could not be determined due to the dilution required for analysis of the sample.
