• 10.13.4 Fourth Priority <br /> i <br /> Provide first-aid to all injured or ill parties and continue efforts to alleviate the <br /> I <br /> hazard <br /> 10.14 Small Fires <br /> A small fire is defined as a fire that can be extinguished with the available 20- <br /> pound type ABC fire extinguisher In the event of a small fire, the following minimum actions <br /> shall occur <br /> • Evacuate all unnecessary personnel from the area, if possible, to an <br /> upwind location or to an area not affected by airborne contaminants if an <br /> upwind location is not feasible, <br /> • Attempt to extinguish fire using portable fire extinguisher or by <br /> smothering, <br /> • Request emergency response assistance (ambulance, fire, hospital, poison <br /> control center) as needed for any injuries or exposures to hazardous <br /> chemicals, and <br /> • Notify CPL contact <br /> 10.15 First-aid Procedures <br /> 10.15.1 Physical Injury <br /> The following are the first-aid procedures related to Physical Injury <br /> • For nunor injuries, routine first-aid procedures shall be used immediately <br /> If required, the on-site emergency vehicle shall be used to transport patient <br /> to the hospital <br /> • For major injuries, an ambulance shall immediately be called and <br /> paramedics shall assess the nature and extent of the injury In case of <br /> severe injury occurring along with chemical contamination of the victim, <br /> the victim shall be sprayed down with a water hose, or have the <br /> 10-7 <br /> i <br /> E _ I <br />
