Geofogicaf Technics Inc. <br /> 2601 14ver Rpad <br /> Modesto,Galrfornra 95351 <br /> (209)538 6424174#538 5852 <br /> REPORT <br /> Preliminary <br /> Environmental Site Assessment <br /> Vernalis Property <br /> 35500 Welty Road <br /> Vernalis, California <br /> Project No. 248.2 <br /> February 6, 1995 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND SITE HISTORY REVIEW <br /> 1.1 Purpose and Scope of Assessment <br /> On December 22, 1994 Geological Technics Inc was contracted by Mr Ron <br /> Llewellyn of Homer J Olsen, Inc and Associates to perform a modified Phase <br /> I Site Assessment and Preliminary Phase IIA Environmental Site Assessment <br /> at the 35500 Welty Road property (Property) located in Vernalis at the <br /> southeast corner of the intersection of Highway 33 & Welty Road (Figure 1) <br /> Because there is concern on the part of Homer J Olsen, Inc with respect to the <br /> environmental history of the Property, this Environmental Assessment <br /> includes a records and information review and intrusive testing (borehole <br /> installation), 1 e , a modified Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) <br /> and a Preliminary Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) <br /> The purpose of the modified Phase I ESA was to evaluate potential nearby off- <br /> site sources of environmental concern as well as delineate areas of recognized <br /> environmental concern that are present on the Property This information <br /> was used to designate locations for soil borings to be installed in the Phase II <br /> section of the work <br />
