Box 6012 <br /> San Ramon, CA 94583-2324 <br /> REVIEW OF WORK PLAN, SOUTH SHORE PARCELS, L&M OPERABLE UNIT, <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Staff of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Board)have <br /> reviewed the 27 February 2004 Response to RWQCB Letter Dated June 25, 2003 and Work Plan <br /> for Additional Site Assessment(Work Plan) submitted by SECOR International Incorporated on <br /> behalf of the L&M Operable Unit(OU) for a portion of Parcel 2A of the South Shore Parcels <br /> along West Weber Avenue in Stockton(site). The Work Plan proposes to install one deep boring <br /> adjacent to monitoring well MW-17, six deep water bearing zone monitoring wells, and one <br /> shallow zone monitoring well. The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) has also <br /> reviewed the Work Plan. <br /> Regional Board and DTSC staff concur with the Work Plan provided that the L&M OU clarifies <br /> the boundaries of the site and provides copies of the public notification flier to Mr. Jerry Lile of <br /> DTSC. By 9 June 2004,please submit an investigation report that discusses the monitoring well <br /> installation activities and sampling results. <br /> Based on recommendations for changes to the monitoring and reporting program (MRP), <br /> attached is a draft revised MRP for your review. By 9 April 2004, provide comments on the <br /> draft MRP and a figure to include with the final MRP that shows locations of all monitoring and <br /> dual phase extraction wells and clearly outlines the boundaries of the L&M OU portion of the <br /> South Shore Parcels.
