i •
Stantec
2010 TIDEWATER STOCKTON WORK PLAN
• A bag filter followed by a flow totalizer installed on the discharge side of each of the
transfer pumps of the respective air/water separator tanks;
• Approximately 18,000 gallon plus storage tank with secondary containment; and
• Miscellaneous fittings, meters, and equipment.
In order to extract groundwater from the recovery wells, a stinger tube will be lowered into the
well casing and groundwater will be recovered using the TPE configuration; and a separate
vacuum blower will be employed on each GWE well. The TPE manifolds and headers will be
outfitted with appropriate fittings for vapor sampling and vapor/water flow measurement.
3.3.2.2 TPE Continuous Operation
The TPE equipment will operate continuously for at least 48 hours but not longer than 72 hours
on the GWE wells in the TPE configuration. The following data will be recorded approximately
every two hours (except at night)thereafter as appropriate for each GWE well:
1. Groundwater elevations in the test wells will be measured and recorded prior to
initiation;
2. Hour meter readings;
3. Applied wellhead vacuum levels in GWE wells;
4. Stinger tube vacuum at the TPE wellheads;
5. Extracted airflow rates from the GWE wells (measured at wellhead);
6. Groundwater levels in observation wells;
7. Total groundwater flow rate;
8. Collect influent vapor samples and analyze soil vapor concentrations with flame
ionization detector(FID) meter;
9. Groundwater elevations will be measured in the test wells after the equipment is
shutdown at the end of the test.
Groundwater samples will be sampled once at the end of the test from each extraction well (see
Task 4).
Once the TPE operations are completed, the TPE equipment will be decontaminated,
dismantled, and secured as needed. All groundwater monitoring wells and test wells will be
secured and the site returned to pre-test conditions.
3.12
