Compliance of Violations
Lindbergh Adult School
September 10, 2001
Page Two
#75(a) than the use of three drums) and will be disposed
of timely by Safety Kleen.
#75(b) Per CCR Chapter 23, Article 2, site is complying
with the regulations for the proper handling of
universal waste (i.e., lamps, batteries). With
regard to batteries, new bins have been purchased
from Wal Mart. Universal waste lamps will be
placed in the original container the lamps came in.
Universal waste is clearly labeled with the contents,
and states the accumulation start date.
In addition to the above steps being taken, part washers will only be
in-serviced when needed, rather than every two months. This will
help reduce waste matter. I have also attached a copy of purchase
order No. 408164 to Safety Kleen dated 8/1/01 (see attached
documentation #5) which details the service they will continue to
provide to Lindbergh Adult School throughout the 2001-02 school
year.
If further information is needed, please contact me at 825-3200,
ext. 859. Thank you for your help and assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
r,'
Denise Mathews
Administrator of Risk Management
Attachments
Cc: Howard Holtsman, Principal
Scott Anderson, Director of Business
