Three presentatons were conducted for all applicable classified
employees (using the Keena Safe Schools online to log the training): August 6,
October 22, and November 14, 2012. The training was directed by the Director
of Materials Management, who has been trained in hazardous waste
management procedures. In addition, the district contracted with NES to provide
training to science teachers on October 14, 2011 and December 3, 2012.
Training records include all requirements of Title 22, and were observed by the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department Inspector on January 18,
2013.
#122, 123, 124: Staff subsequently obtained and filed copies of the signed
manifests in question. Copies are attached. Please note that two of the manifest
numbers reported on the Summary of Violations form included typographical
errors. Each of the reported manifest numbers are 11 digits long whereas the
actual manifest numbers are 12 digits long. We have made copies of the
manifest numbers we believe are being requested and have included those with
this report. On January 18, 2013, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department Inspector reviewed manifests generated since January 23, 2012 and
determined that the district has kept signed copies of manifests, has determined
the status of hazardous waste when a copy of a signed manifest is not received
within 35 days, and experienced no instances in which an exception report was
necessary in consequence of a manifest not being received within 45 days.
