COBURN/LT'I COATING SYSTEM
Clean'n'Coat Unit
i
WASTE DISPOSAL
All coatings are hazardous to some degree and should be handled and disposed of with care.
The safest method is,on a daily basis, pourthewastethat has accumulated in thewaste container into a shallow
disposable aluminum pan.The pan must be left outside for the solvent to evaporate. The coating vJ11 cure to
a solid in the outside ultraviolet light.Multiple layers of waste can be poured on top of one another until the pan
is full and then it can be deposited in the trash as a solid.
WASTE DISPOSAL KIT (Optional)
OVERVIEW: The coating waste deposited into the coating bowl of the Clean'n'Coat is approximately 10%
coating solids and 90% cleaning and coating solvents. The most efficient method of disposal is to allow the.
solvents to evaporate in the air and then chemically cure the remaining coating solids into a safe. disposable
form.
To capture the Coating Waste, the Clean'n'Coat coating bowl is plugged. The exhaust airfan is kept on overnight
to evaporate the solvents. At start,-. in the morning, the remaining coating solids are siphoned out of the coating
bowl and deposited in a holding container. When a predetermined amount is collected.chemicals will be added
to the Coating Waste which causes a reaction that cures and solidifies the Waste for disposal as normal trash.
CAUTION ! ! !
Coating materials and the solidifier materials are hazardous and should be
handled with care. Prolonged breathing of the vapors and contact with the
skin or eyes should be avoided. These products are combustible. Keep
away from heat, spark, and open flames.
Kit Contents: 100 ml beaker 24 each
Plastic Pipettes 24 each
Wooden Stirring Sticks 24 each
Solidifier 1 Pint
Hardening Catalyst t Tube
Drain Plug 1 each
1.
