COBURN/LT'I COATING SYSTEM <br /> Clean'n'Coat Unit <br /> i <br /> WASTE DISPOSAL <br /> All coatings are hazardous to some degree and should be handled and disposed of with care. <br /> The safest method is,on a daily basis,pourthewastethat has accumulated in thewaste container into a shallow <br /> disposable aluminum pan.The pan must be left outside for the solvent to evaporate.The coating vJ11 cure to <br /> a solid in the outside ultraviolet light.Multiple layers of waste can be poured on top of one another until the pan <br /> is full and then it can be deposited in the trash as a solid. <br /> WASTE DISPOSAL KIT (Optional) <br /> OVERVIEW: The coating waste deposited into the coating bowl of the Clean'n'Coat is approximately 10% <br /> coating solids and 90% cleaning and coating solvents.The most efficient method of disposal is to allow the. <br /> solvents to evaporate in the air and then chemically cure the remaining coating solids into a safe. disposable <br /> form. <br /> To capture the Coating Waste,the Clean'n'Coat coating bowl is plugged.The exhaust airfan is kept on overnight <br /> to evaporate the solvents.At start,-. in the morning,the remaining coating solids are siphoned out of the coating <br /> bowl and deposited in a holding container.When a predetermined amount is collected.chemicals will be added <br /> to the Coating Waste which causes a reaction that cures and solidifies the Waste for disposal as normal trash. <br /> CAUTION ! ! ! <br /> Coating materials and the solidifier materials are hazardous and should be <br /> handled with care. Prolonged breathing of the vapors and contact with the <br /> skin or eyes should be avoided.These products are combustible. Keep <br /> away from heat, spark, and open flames. <br /> Kit Contents: 100 ml beaker 24 each <br /> Plastic Pipettes 24 each <br /> Wooden Stirring Sticks 24 each <br /> Solidifier 1 Pint <br /> Hardening Catalyst t Tube <br /> Drain Plug 1 each <br /> 1. Plug the drain hole in the bottom of the coating bowl of the Clean'n'Coat unit In order to collect the <br /> waste accumulation.The plug becomes a semi-permanent part of the bowl for these installations. <br /> 2. Prior to securing the Clean'n'Coat unit for the day,wash down the side of the coating bowl,the rotor, <br /> and nozzle with filtered Isopropyl alcohol,Order Na 8320"0. <br /> Section 5-1 <br />
