The location of the access port is not critical when <br />used with vacuum monitoring systems. <br />Please note, however, that when this fitting is installed in a system that is <br />designed to drain fluid from the piping interstice to the sump (Open System per <br />UL 971), the access port should be located at the 6 o'clock position. <br />Best regards, <br />Jack Bales <br />
