Molded <br />product fittings are 100 percent <br />hydrostatically tested per UL/ULC <br />requirements. Secondary <br />containment fittings are tested in <br />accordance with standards <br />approved by UL/ULC. <br />- Telescoping Inspection <br />Containment - Smith Fiberglass <br />Products offers the only 100 <br />percent- inspectable telescoping <br />double-wall fiberglass pipe system. <br />The system provides assurance of a <br />leak -free primary system before the <br />containment is closed and tested. <br />And, it allows access to the primary <br />piping after the installation is <br />completed. <br />Easy -to -Install Containment <br />Fittings - Female threaded inserts <br />Refer to Smith Fiberglass Products <br />Manual No. B2160 for complete <br />installation instructions covering <br />assembly, burial, testing and <br />repair of primary, secondary <br />containment and telescoping <br />containment piping. <br />' U.S. Patent 4,805,444 <br />are factory installed in <br />one-half of the two-piece <br />containment fitting. Com- <br />panion bolts are shipped <br />with each fitting.. Simply apply <br />adhesive, drop the bolt in, <br />tighten ... and the joint is complete. <br />- High Pressure/ Temperature <br />Rating - RED THREAD IIA pipe offers <br />cyclic operating pressure ratings of <br />up to 250 psig at 150°F. Its safety <br />factor of 5:1 offers assurance that <br />the primary pipe system is capable <br />of handling pressure spikes. <br />- Thermosetting Properties - <br />Manufactured with thermosetting <br />epoxy resin, RED THREAD IIA pipe <br />won't soften, cold -flow or balloon <br />at its maximum operating <br />temperature of 150°F. And, it won't <br />get brittle in temperatures as low as <br />-40°F. <br />Maintains Product Purity - RED <br />THREAD IIA pipe is chemically <br />compatible with all EPA approved <br />motor fuels. This assures freedom <br />from contamination of the products <br />being conveyed. <br />- Permeability - Studies which <br />tested several fuels were conducted <br />by independent laboratories to <br />determine any loss of liquid through <br />Smith Fiberglass Products piping. <br />None of the samples showed any <br />loss in weight during the test <br />period.
