<br />,_DPREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION

<br />The tank must be isolated from the piping system when
<br />pressure testing the piping. Tank pressure in excess of
<br />5 psig voids all warranties.
<br />The tank should always be attended during a pressure
<br />test, but personnel should avoid manways, fittings and
<br />the ends of the tank when the tank is under pressure.
<br />If damage occurs, DO NOT ATTEMPT repairs. Contact
<br />your Xerxes Century -Cast Tank sales representative,
<br />distributor or the Customer Service Representative at
<br />the Xerxes Plant nearest you.
<br />TBACKFILL
<br />Xerxes Century -Cast Tanks must be installed using
<br />either gravel or stone/gravel crushings which meet the
<br />following specifications:

<br />„D PRE -INSTALLATION TESTING
<br />Xerxes Century -Cast Tanks are tested prior to ship-
<br />=nt, but it is REQUIRED that all tanks be tested by
<br />NOTE: No more than 3% of backfill material shall pass through a
<br />number 8 sieve. It is recommended that your backfill supplier certify
<br />that the backfill material meets the above specifications.
<br />NOTE: Fill material must be dry and free of ice and snow. DO NOT
<br />use other backfill materials. If material which meets the specification
<br />above is not available, contact your local Xerxes Century -Cast Tank
<br />sales representative for information on approved alternate materials
<br />and installation instructions. Using other than approved bed or backfill
<br />materials without prior written approval of Xerxes Corporation, will
<br />void the tank warranty.
