The receipts shall be used to <br />determine the total volume of hazardous waste in the vehicle. After the hazardous waste <br />is delivered, the receipts shall be affixed to the transporter's copy of the manifest. The <br />transporter shall leave a copy of the receipt with the generator of the hazardous waste. <br />The generator shall retain each receipt for at least three years. This period of retention is <br />extended automatically during the course of any unresolved enforcement action regarding <br />the regulated activity or as requested by the department or a certified unified program <br />agency. <br />4 No manifests were available for review at the time of the October 30, 2006, <br />routine hazardous waste inspection. Copies were requested to be submitted to this <br />office, but were never submitted. <br />HSC 25187.8 (b) Return to compliance certification. A facility which receives a <br />notice to comply pursuant to subdivision (a) shall have not more than 30 days from the <br />date of receipt of the notice to comply in which to achieve compliance with the permit <br />conditions, rule, regulation, standard, or other requirement cited on the notice to comply. <br />Within five working days of achieving compliance, an appropriate person who is an <br />owner or operator of, or an employee at, the facility shall sign the notice to comply and <br />return it to the department representative or to the authorized local officer or agency, as <br />the case may be, which states that the facility has complied with the notice to comply. A <br />false statement that compliance has been achieved is a violation of this chapter pursuant <br />to Section 25191. <br />4 A written response documenting corrective actions to the violations found during <br />the 2006 routine hazardous waste inspection was never submitted. <br />Title 22, CCR 66261.7 (f) Contaminated containers.
