MEMORANDUM
September 7, 1993
TO: Ron Hiltscher, Inspector
FROM: Bill Costanza, Fire Captain
SUBJECT: ARCO TANK INSTALLATION - - 7906 NORTH EL DORADO STREET
This letter is in response to your memo dated September 3, 1993 regarding the Arco tank
installation.
I have researched this situation and discussed it with the Fire Marshal. I talked to Del Hinkle
the representative for Xerxes Corporation, the tank manufacturer. Xerxes will be doing the
work and they are authorized U.L. manufacturers. They will also be forwarding us a signed
copy of the final repair order. This repair order identifies that they assume full responsibility
for the repair and the warranty remains intact.
In conclusion this department accepts the required repair of underground tanks when it is done
by a U.L. certified company on their own tanks. The FIre Marshal acknowledges the field
repair of the four tanks located at Arco Service Station, 7906 North El Dorado Street.
Inspector Hiltscher, you are directed to continue with this tank installation as you would with
'h
any other tank installation. Thank you for bringing this situation to my attention. Keep a copy
of this letter for youg r7
rds and place a copy in the file.
BELL COSTANZA, FIRE CAPTAIN
FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION
cc: Richard J.
