At 2:15 p.m. I
relayed this information to Carol OZ, also of your office, stating that
the system was again operative. Ms. Oz requested that I send a letter
to you stating the nature of the problem and describing actions that
had been taken.
A review of the most recent calculated inventory indicated the daily
variation to be within the allowable limits as described in Table 4.2
of Title 23, Sub -Chapter 16 of the California Underground Storage Tank
Regulations. After discussion with the station operator and the
inventory manager, it was concluded that there had been an apparent
stick reading error which originally falsely triggered the alarm.
Should your require additional details regarding this matter, please do
not hesitate to call me at (209)583-5542.
Very truly yours,
ULTRAMAR INC
Peter W.
