NO. 464324 <br />San Joaquin Local Health Division <br />1601 East Hazalton Avenue <br />Stockton, California 95201 <br />Attention: Mr Doug Wilson <br />RE: Vadose Well Backfill Observation <br />Three Quik Stop Market Sites <br />Stockton, California <br />Dear Mr. Wilson, <br />June 15, 1987 <br />Project 4097F <br />We are sending you this letter regarding the observation of the backfill material used for vadose <br />wells at the following Quik Stop Market sites; Q. S. # 76 located 1030 S. Olive Street; two <br />,and Q. S. #121 located at W. Louise Avenue all in <br />Stockton, California. The purpose of the observation was to verify that the backfill material was <br />tank backfill composed of either pea gravel or sand. <br />The procedure used in the field was as follows; a 1/2 -inch steel probe pipe was bored in the <br />backfill and the observation of the backfill was made by the undersigned engineer. A <br />representative of the San Joaquin Local Health Division was present during the procedure. <br />In our opinion, the material observed was of a type used for tank backfill, either pea gravel or <br />sand. <br />If you have any questions, please call. <br />Sincerely, <br />Exceltech, Inc. <br />Christopher M.
