Let the Stockton Chamber Apprenticeship Program (SCAP) assist <br />you. The SCAP initiative was designied by the business community to allow for an equitable <br />solution to place CalWORKs clients into employment opportunities. <br />The SCAP program will reduce payroll and benefit costs by allowing you to evaluate and <br />train SCAP participants before hiring. The two -to three-week apprenticeship period is non - <br />paid with Worker's Compensation insurance costs covered through sponsoring agencies. <br />With the commitment of the business community, SCAP will help reduce the number of <br />recipients in San Joaquin County receiving public assistance, meet business employment <br />needs by increasing the work -ready labor pool, and provide training and job opportunities to <br />CalWOR1,'_s clients who complete die program. <br />Please complete the following questions and fax back to Monica Luna orjeanette Flanders, <br />SCAP Coordinators at 235-2774.
