Each of these products
has its own unique engineering signature. VST's balanced coaxial hose system consists of the inner hose, the outer
hose, and special "spider" retaining clip design.
• INNER HOSE - Special formulated nitrile tube material offers superior chemical resistance. It will not stiffen, harden or flex
crack when exposed to any grade of gasoline, including oxygenated fuels containing MTBE or Ethanol. Superior resistance
to wet dry applications that are normal in balance systems.
• REINFORCEMENT - High tensile strength wire braid construction provides superior coupling retention and end load.
• RETAINING CLIP - Special "spider" design simplifies change over and no tools are required to replace the outer hose.
• OUTER HOSE - Resistant to all grades of gasoline, including oxygenated fuels containing MTBE and Ethanol. Crush, kink
and cut resistant, yet the lightest most flexible hose available. Combine the exceptional torsional flexibility to the
lightweight and durable construction the VST design provides the most user friendly balanced vapor recovery system at any
price.
Venturi is a device in either the hose or nozzle that creates a vacuum in a fuel line by constricting the fuel flow. The
suction can then be used to extract condensation and excess fuel out of the vapor line by use of a drain tube. VST has
revolutionized venturied hose technology with the introduction of the Variable Design Venturi (VDV) which senses line
pressure and automatically adjusts the venturi opening.
In the open or full -flow position the VDV delivers 15% to 35% improved flow rates compared to competitive venturies
and reliable evacuation. Reliable evacuation in the closed position assures a clear vapor path and eliminates the
inconvenience associated with low flow systems where fixed venturies do not function. The combined advantages of
the VDV's higher flow rate and improved evacuation provide for significantly increased dispenser efficiency.
• VENTURI FLOW SENSOR - Opens and closes VDV venturi with changes in line pressure.
• VDV VENTURI - Self adjusting thru-hole provides maximum flow rate and high evacuation performance.
• TUBING - Connects multiple pick-up points to a single check valve assembly.
• CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY - Connects tri -bond tubing to single check valve. Spring loaded design coupled with specially
formulated Viton ball seal provides optimum performance in all fuel blends.
• SWIVEL COUPLING - 1 7/8" -18 UN swivel mates with all known balance equipment.
VST's VSTA and VDV Hoses are Designed, Compatible and CARB Approved for
All Balance Systems Including SaberVac
