The correct secondary
containment test date for this report is July 25, 2013. During the monthly inspection, the designated operator shall
check that all required testing and maintenance for the UST system have been completed and document the dates
they were done. Ensure that designated operators performing monthly inspections at this facility are including all of
the required information on the reports.
This is a repeat violation, Class II.
306 CCR 2630(d) Monitoring equipment is not installed or maintained to detect a leak at the earliest opportunity.
The 87 STP sump piping did not have the test boot pulled back and the Schrader valve was pointing up. Any
potential release from the primary containment into the secondary containment in the piping does not flow into a
collection sump. The sensor was replaced and retested during the
inspection. A"UST Retrofit Verification with Inspector Already Onsite" form has been completed and will be provided
to the operator and contractor.
This is a minor violation.
310 CCR 2636(f)(5) Piping is not fail-safe outside UDCs or fails to stop flow of product at dispenser inside UDCs.
The Bravo box float and chain in the dispenser 1/2 UDC sump failed to stop the flow of product at the dispenser when
tested. All monitoring equipment shall be maintained to activate an audible and visual alarm or stop the flow of
product at the dispenser when it detects a leak. The service technician cleaned the float cup and verified
functionality.
This is a minor violation.
