Center Street, Manteca.
Dear Sir orMadam:
The galvanic cathodic protection (CP) system at the above location includes four (4) magnesium anodes connected
through a test station to the underground fuel tank, piping, tank hold down straps, and anchoring system.
The survey was conducted by measuring the structure-to-soil potentials at the locations described on the attached
data sheet. Potentials were measured with and without protective current applied using a digital multi-meter
connected between the test points, and a saturated copper/coppersu|fote reference electrode (CSE) in contact
with the earth. Current flows were also measured between the anodes and the underground storage tank (UST),
vent and LIST anchors. The potentials recorded met or exceed the minimum of—850 millivolts (mV) as specified by
the National Association ofCorrosion Engineers(NACE).
This survey was conducted in accordance with the procedures and test methods described in NACE Standard
Recommended Practice RP0285-2003, Corrosion Control of Underground Storage Tank Systems by Cathodic
Protection' NACE Standard Practice SP0169'3007, Control of External Corrosion on Underground or Submerged
Metallic Pip/ng Systems, and NACE Standard TK4O101'2001, Measurement Techniques Related to Criteria for
Cathodic Protection nnUnderground orSubmerged Metallic Tank Systems.
5unVVest Engineering Constructors, Inc. appreciates the opportunity to assist you in this phase of your corrosion
mitigation program.
