25201 Paseo Do Alicia,Suite 200 <br /> bees Hills,CA 92653 <br /> To Whom it may concern: <br /> From: Doug lay <br /> UPS Plant Engineering Area Manager, East Bay District <br /> Subject: UST conversions from Unleaded to Diesel <br /> UPS will be converting our Unleaded UST's and associated fueling equipment to diesel prior to the EVR <br /> Phase H deadline of April t,4,2009.The following facilities will be converted: <br /> UPS Angels Camp,CA. 2342 Gun CIub Road,Angels Camp CA 95222 <br /> UPS Stockton.CA. 1532North Broadway,Stockton CA°95205 <br /> UPS Grass Valley,CA. 12025 Charles Road,Grass valley CA 95945 <br /> UPS Chico,CA. 401 ®tterson Drive,Chico CA 95928 <br /> UPS West Sacramento CA, 1380 Shore Street,W.Sacramento CA 95691 <br /> All vapor recovery equipment will be isolated and terminated.The Stage II Vapor recovery equipment will <br /> remain in place,however,connections will be terminated by capping or isolation.If,in the future,we <br /> decide to convert back to Unleaded,we will contact the authorities having jurisdiction,permit,and install <br /> EVR Phase 11 equipment as required. <br /> The physical gages that will talm place are: <br /> 1. The product lines will have the gasoline blown back with inert gas into the tank. <br /> 2. The tank will be purged of all gasoline. All sludge will be removed from the tank for proper <br /> disposal. All wastes will be disposed according to local,state,and federal regulations. <br /> 3. Equipment change-out. <br /> a. The Veeder Root Automated Tank Gauge probe will be changed form gasoline to diesel. <br /> b, The submersible leak detector will be change to a diesel leak detector. <br /> 4. Change the tank vent cap from pressure vacuum to opera type for diesel product. <br /> 5. Install diesel filter assembly. <br /> 6, The dispenser strainers in the maters will be changed from gasoline strainers to diesel strainers, <br /> 7. Change out the hoses,breakaways and nozzles on each dispenser to dioscl dispenser. <br /> 8. Re-label all dispensers with a"DieseP'label. <br /> 9. Re-calibrate the meters on the dispensers. <br /> 10. Re-paint the fill manhole and rn-stencil concrete appropriately. <br /> 11.
