The channel PC are installed and adjusted by the factory. If field service adjustment is <br />required refer to page 27. For field replacement the card can be reached by first removing three <br />flat head mounting screws that secure the nameplate. The PC cards can be removed by gently <br />pulling the card out. To insert the PC card firmly press the card into the cardedge connector. <br />Substitution of components or parts may effect the operation and safety. <br />NOTE: Turn off all power before removing or installing the PC card, failure to do so will cause <br />damage to the PC cardcomponents. <br />111.5. ZENER SAFETY BARRIERS <br />The Zener Safety Barrier provides the separation and electrical interfacing between the sen- <br />sor home run cable and the system mother board. The sensor side of the barrier is intrinsically <br />safe for the connection of USD model LALS- 1 and LAVS-1 sensors. Model ZSB-1 safety barrier <br />used on the LALS- 1 liquid sensor. Model ZSB-2 safety barrier used with the LA VS -1 vapor sensor <br />or with both LALS- 1 and LA VS- 1 combination application. For more information of the correct <br />method of connection and installation of the Zener Safety Barriers refer to Section 11.1.G ZENER <br />SAFETY BARRIER DIAGRAM Page 8 and 9. <br />Below is listed three different ways for connection: <br />A. For Liquid -Only Channel: Use Model ZSB-1 Zener Safety Barrier <br />4k <br />ZSB-1 Connect <br />Terminal TO <br />3 Mother board terminal marked BLUE (or GREEN for earlier model) <br />4 Ground buss terminal <br />7 Liquid sensor GREEN wire <br />8 Liquid sensor BLACK wire <br />da <br />
