See updated
monitoring response plan.
• The spill bucket failed tightness test. Immediately have a qualified service technician repair or
replace damage spill bucket under a permit from this office.
See attached spill bucket test.
• This office does not have a designated UST operator statement from the tank owner declaring
George Koffel as an accepted designated UST operator.
UST operator statement was submitted to you on 8/13/07.
• Used absorbent observed inside the generator room; make a hazardous waste determination of
the liquid and manage it.
Kitty litter removed and coolant spill cleaned up on 7/18/07.
• Submit a copy of UST monitoring and response plan.
See attached updated UST monitoring and response plan.
• This facility is not permitted by this office as a generator of hazardous waste.
Per conversation on 8/9/07 with Inspector Yang and EH&S Staff, the site has been determined to be a
CESQ generator, and as such, San Joaquin County will issue an invoice towards the end of the year to
collect the annual generator fee (no "permit" is issued for CESQ generators per Inspector Yang); we
can consider this issue closed.
• Fifty-five gallon drums inside the generator room were not labeled and currently hold
unknowns. Containers storing hazardous waste shall be properly labeled.
Labels were properly placed on 07/18/07.
