These
activities will be permitted only in areas designated by the SSHO.
The use of contact lenses for vision correction is acceptable unless Self Contained Breathing
Apparatus (SCBA) use is required. Also, certain job functions may require the removal of
contact lenses, even with the use of approved eye protection, such as mixing chemicals, fiber -
glassing operations, welding, and potential H2S exposure. Contacts shall not be used as a
substitute for approved eye protection.
Personnel with facial hair, except those with mustaches that do not interfere with the proper
fit of the respirator, will not be permitted into work areas as facial hair interferes with fitting of
respirators.
Work will be performed during daylight hours only, unless approved by SSHO.
Formal periods of rest for personnel may be required in hot weather and/or during strenuous
activity.
Contaminated or "clean" material, generated through the site works, may be stored on the site
property in a secured area.
