If eccentric reducers are used, substi-
tute 2" (50 mm) for 1" (25 mm) in the B equation.
Example: For 2" (50 mm) product piping;
if A = 20'4" (6198 mm) OAL (overall length)
And Xl = 2%" (54 mm) (90° elbow from Table 3.1.2)
And X2 = 136" (48 mm) (45° elbow from Table 3.1.2)
Then C = (20'4" - 2%" - 1X") - 2 = 10'
(6198 mm - 54 mm - 48 mm) _ 2 = 3048 mm
And = (10=2)-1"=4'11"
(3048 mm _ 2) - 25 mm = 1499 mm
Cut pieces:
C = center section
= 10' of 4" pipe (3048 mm of 100 mm pipe)
B = end sections
= 4'11" of 3" pipe (1499 mm of 75 mm pipe)
B
C
B
A
D
\D
A
FIGURE 3.1.1
WARNING: Since every insertion of the primary piping
may vary, dry fit all secondary containment connections
to make sure that the insertion is approximately 3". Be
sure that the containment pipe is not inserted too far into
the containment fitting. The glossy O.D. of the pipe
should not be seated in the containment fitting.
NOTE: Currently, 2", 3", 4", and 5" pipe; 4" x 3" and 5" x 4" telescoping con-
centric reducers; and 4" x 3" telescoping eccentric reducers can be supplied with
a UL Label.
32 0 Installation Instructions
