Ladders and Scaffolds <br /> Scaffolds and ladders shall comply with applicable Federal, State, or Property Owner <br /> rules and Regulations, which ever is more stringent. Scaffolds and Ladders shall incorporate <br /> the use of engineered and approved materials for their purpose. Metal ladders shall not be <br /> used near electrical hazards. lob-made ladders shall not be used. <br /> Scaffold erection, moving or dismantling must be done under the supervision of a competent <br /> person. A competent person is one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable <br /> hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or <br /> dangerous to employee, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to <br /> eliminate them. <br /> 11/07/2005 revision 5 18 <br />
