Recordable Releases: Any unauthorized release Rom primary containment which the UST operator is able to clean up within eight(8)hours after the release was detected or should reasonably have been detected,and which doe=s not cscape il'om secondary containrcalt,does not urt'rease the hazard of fire or explosion.and does not cause any deterioration ofsecondary containment,must be recorded in the rheility's monitoring records. Monitoring reCprds must irxludo: 10, The UST opexato's name and telephone number; > A list orft types,quantities,and concentrations ofhazardous substances released; > A description of the actions taken to control and clean up the release; > The method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substances,and whether a hazardous waste manifest was or will be cued: > A description of actions taken to repair the UST and to ptevent fhturo releases; > A description of the method used to reactivate interstitial monitoring alter replacement or repair of primary containment• Reportable Releases: Any overfill,spill,or unauthorized rckease which escapes from secondary containment(or primary containni trt if nn secondary containment exists),increases the hazard of fire or explosion,or cmkM.any deterioration of secondary containment,is a reportable relcsse. Repmlahlc reicases are also recordable. Within 24 hours after a reportable release has been detected,or should have been detected,we will notify the local agency administering the UST program of the release,investigate the release,and take immediate MEMnires to stop the release_ If neCesiary.or if required by the local agency,remaining stored pMduct/westc will be removed from the UST to prevent further rekx sec or facilitate comcrive action. if an emergency exists,we will notify the State Office of Emergency Services. Record Retentknn: Monitoring records and written reports of unauthoti%ed mlcasca unit be maintained oto-site(or off-site at a readily available IOGatioa if approved by the local agency)for at least 3 yam. Hazardous waste sbipping/disposal records(e.g.,manifests)must be maintained for at]cast 3 Yeats from the date ofshipment. VII.
