(emphasis in original). �i Response: We have reminded the lessee -dealer at this station of the requirement to conduct a daily visual inspection of the UST monitoring system and to maintain a log of his observations. We are informed that the lessee -dealer is now maintaining a daily UST monitoring log. 3. Alleged Violation: The UST Program Inspection Report stated, "Perform annual monitoring certification and line leak detector results for this year to this department by 7/19/03." In the corresponding Violation checklist, a check was placed next to "CCR 2630 (d) Annual line leak detector test." A check was also placed next to "CCR 2630 (d) Annual monitoring certification." Response: On June 30, 2003, BP's contractor, Tait Environmental, performed the annual monitoring certification and line leak detector tests for this facility and confirmed the proper functioning of this equipment, with the exception of the 91 product drop tube. Tait Environmental provided the County with the required 48 hour notice prior to performing these tests. Enclosed with this letter are copies of the ieu "monitoring certification, and paperwork that was submitted for permit application for replacement of drop tube associated with the 91 product. With the transmittal of this letter, it is our understanding that the above-mentioned alleged violations associated with this routine inspection conducted on June 19, 2003 have been resolved.
