Spill container failed to contain a minimum capacity of 5 gallons. The 87 product direct bury spill <br />bucket failed the one hour hydrostatic test. The technician had changed the spill bucket cap and <br />tightened the nipple and adaptor but the spill bucket was unable to pass the test. A failure may likely <br />result in release of fuel or vapor to the environment and ground. Immediately, discontinue the deposition <br />of any petroleum into the 87 tank until the component is repaired/ replaced by a properly licensed, <br />trained and certified contractor under permit by SJC EHD. <br />Submit to SJC EHD within 30 days (08-08-10): <br />1. one copy of the completed "Return to Compliance Certification" <br />2. a corrective action statement how the 87 product direct bury spill bucket will be repaired/replaced <br />Notes: <br />• received copy of the Certification of Financial Responsibility and Letter from Chief Financial <br />Officer on-site. CFR & CFO valid from 12/04/09 to 12/04/10. <br />• Secondary containment last performed 12/11/09.
