WRITTEN MONITORING PROCEDURES FOR DOUBLE CONTAINMENT UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK SYSTEMS These written procedures are required by California UST Regulations, Section 2632(d)(1), must be maintained at the UST location at all times, and are a condition of the operating permit. Quik Stop Market#152 1721-1 South Cherokee Lodi, California 95240 The gasoline storage and dispensing system at this location consists of two (2) 10,000 gallon and one (1) 8,000 gallon double wall fiberglass, dry interstitial, underground storage tanks serving two (2) double sided multi-product dispensers (MPDS). Product lines are double wall fiberglass. A. Each tank and product line is monitored continuously by probes within the tank annular space and turbine sump, respectively. B. The Leak Alert LA-06 Electronic Monitor is manufactured by Universal Sensors. Leak conditions trigger visual and audible alarms located on the monitoring system control panel. Turbine shutdown will occur if either power is lost to the control panel or if the turbine sump probe(s) sense leak conditions. C. The monitor control panel is located in the market office. The monitor is placed in test mode daily to check alarm function. Results are recorded on a "Daily Monitoring System Inspection Log". D. Monitoring is the responsibility of Harbhajan & Devinder Shergill, Franchisees, or their designated duty clerk. Maintenance of the monitoring equipment is the responsibility of Quik Stop Markets, Inc. Required work will be authorized by Mike Karvelot, Director of Environmental Affairs. E. If an alarm occurs, the Franchisee will immediately contact the Quik Stop Gasoline Department, which will in turn dispatch a qualified service contractor to the site. The service contractor will determine the cause of alarm and advise Quik Stop of site conditions. If an unauthorized release to secondary containment has occurred, action will be immediately taken to implement the attached Written Response Plan. F. The monitoring panel and interstitial probes are checked and recertified annually. Preventive maintenance is scheduled annually in conjunction with recertification. G. A description of the gasoline system operation and operator's responsibilities are included in the Franchise Agreement. Initial training in operation of the tank system and monitoring equipment is conducted "on the job" under the supervision of Quik Stop personnel.
