SECTION 14. GASOLINE OPERATION PROCEDURES (Mandatory) <br />A. Use Permit and Governmental Regulations <br />1. Self-service dispensing of gasoline is permitted only upon issuance <br />of permits by the City, County and Fire District and continued compliance <br />• :•.. <br />with required fire prevention procedures. Authority to operate self-service <br />gasoline facilities is subject to revocation if the Franchisee fails to <br />•=� . <br />Comply with specific procedures and conditions or those set forth by any <br />governmental authority. Such revocation may result in termination of the <br />Franchise Agreement at Quik Stop's election. In addition, non-compliance with <br />Quik Stop's rules and regulations shall also constitute a basis for termin- <br />.. <br />_.ation of the franchise. <br />2. Franchisees shall at all times keep themselves advised and comply in ' <br />full with all current governmental laws and this Guide Book relating to the <br />storage, dispensing and safety of gasoline products, including the Hazardous <br />Materials Storage and Monitoring Regulations. <br />" <br />3. 'Violations and compliance notices received at the market must be for- <br />warded to Quik Stop's office immediately. <br />B. Procedures and Conditions <br />The following procedures must be observed by all Franchisees and their <br />personnel in the operation of self-service, remote control gasoline dis- <br />pensing facilities. Strict adherence to these procedures shall be followed <br />to insure safety to the customer, market personnel, the community and the <br />property. <br />I. Franchisees shall inspect daily all dispensing equipment and remote <br />control units to insure that they are in good operating condition at the <br />' <br />beginning of each shift. Report all disrepair conditions to Quik Stop <br />immediately by phone. <br />2. Gasoline dispensing facilities shall be properly lighted during all <br />operating hours of darkness and kept in good operating condition consistent <br />with maximum safety precautions at all times. All nozzles, hoses and fittings <br />• <br />must be checked daily for any leakage of gasoline or any other defect that <br />would constitute a fire hazard. Any small spillage of gasoline must be <br />cleaned uo immediately. In case of a large spillage of gasoline, do not <br />hesitate. call the Fire Dept. at once for assistance and shut down the gasoline <br />- <br />operation until the Fire Depart. gives a clearance to continue the gasoline <br />GB 14-1 <br />
