Box 388
Stockton, California 95201-0388
Dear Mrs. BRIGGS,
In re: Waterloo Liquor, 2512 E. Waterloo Road, Stockton, California 95205
A call was received on 22 October, 1998 from the owner of Waterloo Liquor
operating the gasoline dispensing portion of his business as U -Fuel wherein
Mr. CHEA reported that an alarm was engaged and had shut down the diesel dispensing
part of his operation. Mr. Al Hunzicker of Hunzicker Electric & Mechanical
Maintenance was thereafter notified who reported to the site to inspect the
reason for the alarm relative to the diesel dispensing part of the fuel operation.
His worksheet is attached wherein it was reported that upon inspection of
the diesel piping potion of the fuel dispensing operation, he noted that the
mechanical leak detector appeared to have a drip leak. He removed less than four
(4) gallons of diesel fuel from the sump which was poured back into the tank. The
leak detector was removed, the threaded portion was cleaned and thread sealant
was reapplied and the leak detector reinstalled. The system was pressurized for
leaking and none found. The I -CON alarm system was then reset to clear the
alarm condition and the diesel fueling brought back on line.
Pursuant to the Emergency Response Plan and Written Monitoring Procedures
on file at Waterloo Liquor (U -FUEL) and submitted to you by mail on 15 August,
1998, the Log Book entry was made indicating the alarm, the reason why, the work
performed and Mr. CHEA now keeps these documents in the back of the Log Book.
Thankyou for your continued consideration.
Yours truly,
aures J.
