loll
a BEAUDREAU
lid —
BEAUDREAU ELECTRONICS INC.
The Model 510 Discriminating Sensor is
designed to provide gasoline dispense]-
sumps
ispensersumps or submersible turbine sumps with
fully discriminating leak detection. The
sensor uses a polymer strip to detect fuel
at any level along its length and has an
optical sensor mounted at the top for
sensing high level accumulation. It will
only alarm if it detects fuel or if water in
the sump reaches the high-water sensor —
it is not affected by background vapors in
the sump. Upon alarming, the sensor will
shut off the dispenser or turbine power
until the fuel is removed. Once the sensor
has been exposed to fuel, the polymer
strip inside the sensor housing can be
replaced with a new strip to prevent future
false alarms. The strips are inexpensive
and are easy to replace. This allows sites with existing secondary containment to be easily retrofitted with leak detection.
The 510 Discriminating Sensor can be operated by either the Beaudreau 404-4 Controller (shown above)
or the new 500 Series Controller. While both controllers are designed to shut off power to the dispenser
or turbine when the sensor alarms, the 500 Series Controller can also send fuel or water alarm signals to
an inside monitoring system across existing electrical wiring.
