By shut-
ting off both the electrical power and the pressurized fuel lines, the risk of a deadly fire and
explosion occurring can be greatly reduced. The Model 508 Impact Sensor System can also be
programmed to communicate to a third -party alarm system for faster emergency response. For
more information, contact Beaudreau at 1-800-739-4435.
The Model 508 Impact Sensor System is designed to connect directly to the dispenser electrical junction box,
eliminating the need for installing new conduit and pulling new wires. This allows sites to be easily upgraded
with dispenser impact protection. Upon detecting vehicular impact, the Model 508 Impact Sensor System trans-
mits an alarm across existing electrical wiring to the 522 Monitoring System located inside the station. The 522
Monitoring System will shut off electrical power to the dispenser and submersible pumps. As an additional
safety feature, the 522 Monitoring System can also be programmed to communicate alarms to a third -party
alarm system. The Model 508 Impact Sensor System uses the Model 500 Controller, the same basic controller
as Beaudreau's leak detection system. If dispenser sump monitoring is also required, any of Beaudreau's sump
sensors can be used in conjunction with the impact sensor system.
